What are the basic systems people use to solve problems? How does knowledge and learning come into it? What are the roles of emotions and beliefs? How does one make a good “fit” with the surrounding world in a way that enhances the ability to solve problems? How does it relate to leadership? What is transferable to “other” worlds? So what anyway—how does that help one’s well-being? This paper addresses these questions by integrating concepts derived from psychology and biology into a model that focuses on how humans solve problems effectively. It then extends the model to the bi-cultural dimension. The final aim is to share these perspectives so that their own “fit” with current considerations of practices and solutions may be considered.
